On July 2 and 3, 2021, the 19th PUMCH Vascular Conference/ Vascular and Endovascular Conference (19th VEC) was held in Beijing. Academician Zhao Yupei, President of the Chinese Medical Association, delivered a congratulatory message, and more than 400 speakers and 1,000 attendees from across China participated in the forum online or offline.

The forum put on full display the status quo and progresses in the vascular field at home and abroad through a wide range of distinctive agenda items including keynote speeches, live streaming of surgeries at multiple locations, face-to-face exchanges with MDT experts from PUMCH, forum on difficult, complicated, rare and serious diseases, academic progress and consensus interpretation, youth innovation forum, clinical skills application competition, speech and debate competition, surgical video competition, microcirculatory care forum, Asia-Pacific vascular care forum, translational innovation forum, new product release, and artificial intelligence forum.

It is noteworthy that the forum also held the “Bethune Charitable Foundation 2nd Awarding Ceremony of Vascular Surgery Experts”, launched the “PUMCH New Centenary” Press Release of New Books and Expert Consensus, through which 6 new books were released.
