Peking Union Medical College Hospital Ranked First Again in the 2019 Performance Appraisal Results of Tertiary Public Hospitals in China

On March 30, 2021, the National Health Commission announced the national monitoring and analysis of the performance appraisal of the tertiary public hospitals in China in 2019. The result of the second "national examination" of the tertiary public hospitals in China was released. Peking Union Medical College Hospital ranked first again, with the evaluation grade of A++.

The performance appraisal of tertiary public hospitals is an important index to examine and evaluate the outcome of the reform and development of public hospitals, which is measured by National Health Commission and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, together with other relevant departments. It is the most accredited official assessment and evaluation of the tertiary public hospitals. Management and service levels of the hospitals are measured by the national monitoring index data of the performance appraisal of tertiary public hospitals. A total of 2413 hospitals participated in the assessment, and 12 hospitals were graded A++.
