As a window to observe systemic diseases, the eye has always attracted the attention of doctors in various disciplines. Our Department of Rheumatology has established the Chinese Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Research Collaboration Group, and established the clinical database and biological sample bank of SLE patients. The ophthalmic fundus disease team has cooperated with Department of Rheumatology for many years. In the future, our ophthalmology team will persistently carry out longitudinal follow-up research and combine and transform the results of basic research with clinical practice. The interdisciplinary cooperation mechanism will further encourage the research of retinal diseases secondary to systemic diseases.
