On the afternoon of March 10, 2015, a delegation of four, led by Dr. Lincoln C. Chen, President of the US-based China Medical Board (CMB), visited PUMCH and the two sides reached consensus on opening new cooperation on projects of standardized training of resident physicians in China.

PUMCH will, led by the National Health and Family Planning Commission and supported by CMB, make efforts to build the quality certification system and mode for standardized training of resident/specialist physicians that suits Chinese conditions, and promote the mode across China, said PUMCH President Zhao Yupei. Such efforts are expected to not only lay a solid foundation for the hospital's return to academic peak upon its 100th founding anniversary, but make due contribution to the education of medical staff and the promotion of medical reform in China.
