Subsequently, the hospital signed an implementation agreement with the Guizhou Provincial Health Commission and backed it up with a series of pragmatic measures, such as setting up a taskforce, making field trips and doing surveys, providing training and guidance, and carrying out talks and exchanges, all geared towards translating PUMCH’s “plan” to help Guizhou into a more specific “roadmap”.

Xu Wenyuan, a Level I Division Rank OfficialSection Chief-level official from the Planning and Information Division of Guizhou Provincial Health Commission, briefed the audience about the progresses of cooperation between the two sides in rare diseases.

Personnel from the Planning and Development Office, the General Office of the CPC Committee, the Department of Education, the Department of Nursing, the Department of Scientific Research, and the Publicity Department of PUMCH responded to the cooperation intentions and needs for support in scientific research, teaching, nursing and Party cultural building proposed by the Guizhou Provincial Health Commission and the three hospitals mentioned above.

PUMCH Vice President Du Bin said that the two visits to Guizhou led by PUMCH leaders laid a solid foundation for the partnership between Guizhou and PUMCH and that this meeting was a concrete measure to flesh out the cooperation intentions of both sides. Xiao Minglong pointed out that the meeting was about facilitating cooperation and also mutual learning and exchanges; down the road, both sides would work together to fill in the details about the future tasks and assignments, the cooperation pathways, the coordination mechanism, and the synchronization of scheduling and provide the necessary support according to the plan.
