Delegation of Macau University of Science and Technology Visited PUMCH

On February 7, 2023, Paul Kwong Hang Tam and Jiang Zhihong, both Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology, led a delegation to visit PUMCH. PUMCH President Zhang Shuyang met with the delegation. Vice Presidents Wu Peixin and Du Bin attended the meeting with them.

The delegation first watched a short introduction video of PUMCH, and then visited the hospital history museum, medical record exhibition, simulating teaching center and the translational medicine complex. They showered PUMCH with praises on its glorious history and development achievements.

The two sides discussed future cooperation. The delegation briefly introduced Macau University of Science and Technology and expressed its intention to cooperate with PUMCH on multiple fronts. Vice President Wu Peixin pointed out that both the university and PUMCH attached equal importance to teaching and research and  acknowledged the solid foundation for cooperation in medical education and clinical research and expressed expectations for future strategic cooperation.

Macau University of Science and Technology is the largest multi-disciplinary university in Macao and ranked among the Top 250 Universities in the “World University Rankings 2023”. Having made admirable achievements in teaching quality, cutting-edge research, scientific and technological innovation, and contribution to socioeconomic development, it is widely recognized in society. The visit of the delegation has started a new chapter for strong cooperation between the two sides in the future. Associate Vice President Zhu Yizhun and Assistant Professor Chen Yan also joined the delegation.
