On July 27, 2022, the inauguration for the National Standardized Gynecological Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center Project was held at PUMCH. Du Bin, Vice President of PUMCH, and Di Sen, Vice Chairman of China Council for International Investment Promotion, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of PUMCH and China Primary Health Care Foundation respectively. Academician Lang Jinghe and Director Zhu Lan of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at PUMCH were respectively appointed as the honorary chairman and chairman of the center. The center will be committed to channeling high-quality medical resources to the community level and strengthening the capacity for primary medical services.
The health condition of women and children is an important indicator to measure a country’s development and social civilization, and it significantly affects the overall development and future of a nation. PUMCH National Clinical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology, PUMCH, together with the Revitalization and Development Committee under China Council for International Investment Promotion, and the China Primary Health Care Foundation, established the “Curing Severe Illness without Leaving County - Special Targeted Assistance Project of the National Medical Center - The National Standardized Gynecological Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center”. According to the plan, 37 public medical institutions that meet the application requirements will be selected for this project, which will help channel high-quality medical resources to the community level, consolidate the three-level hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system, and realize “first diagnosis at the community level, two-way referral”, thereby achieving the goal of “curing severe illness without leaving the county”.
