The First Academic Annual Meeting of the National Clinical Research Center for Dermatologic and Immunologic Diseases (NCRC-DID) was Successfully Held in Beijing

The National Clinical Research Center for Dermatologic and Immunologic Diseases (NCRC-DID), the Chinese SLE Treatment and Research Group (CSTAR), the Chinese Rheumatism Data Center (CRDC) and the Chinese Rheumatology Center Alliance (CRCA) jointly hosted the first academic annual meeting of NCRC-DID and the eleventh annual meeting of CSTAR/CRDC/CRCA in Beijing from Mar 26th to 28th, 2021. This was the first international academic conference since the establishment of NCRC-DID in PUMCH. Rheumatologists from all over the country were united together by NCRC-DID, despite the influence of COVID-19 epidemic. The meeting was an exhibition of the series of their research results.

The theme of the first annual meeting was “March toward the international stage and draw the future together”. Many well-known international and national experts and speakers were invited to the conference. The aims of the meeting were to enhance international cooperation, to improve the ability of diagnosing and treating autoimmune and dermatological diseases in our country, to promote clinical and basic researches in related fields, and to increase multidisciplinary communication and cooperation.

The first special-field research committee of NCRC-DID, CHinese research committee Of Pregnancy and reproduction in Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases (CHOPARD) was established during this meeting. The committee will start its work with the revision of “Chinese Guideline for Peri-gestation Diagnosis and Treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus”, and will work to promote standardized management of patients in all levels of hospitals and improve the prognosis of mothers with SLE and their infants. The committee will also establish a nationwide research cohort of pregnant patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
