Multidisciplinary work together to overcome difficulties, PUMCH removes rare huge liver for girls with heart failure

Recently, the Department of Cardiology of PUMCH received a 19-year-old female patient with critical illness. The patient’s heart, liver, and various endocrine metabolism are abnormal, and the disease progresses rapidly. Through the rare disease MDT platform, dozens of experts from PUMCH participated in the consultation and jointly formulated the diagnosis and treatment plan for the patient. With the assistance of a multidisciplinary team, liver surgery successfully removed a rare and huge liver space-occupying lesion for the patient and relieved the patient’s suffering.
