On November 27, 2019, the fourth annual charity event titled "Healthy China • Legal Protection" & "Blessing of Life • Glory of Doctors", jointly sponsored by Global Times, Life Times, and Doctor Friend (huobanys.com), was held in the People's Daily New Media Tower. Experts from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) won seven awards.

As the chairman-on-duty of the event in 2019, Dr. Zhao Yupei, President of PUMCH, participated in the whole process of expert review. Since the event was launched in Jinan, capital city of Shandong Province, on June 21, the organizing committee had received registration information from more than 500 individuals and teams in over 100 hospitals in more than 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China. After preliminary screening, voting by experts, and final review, the organizing committee finally decided ten award winners.

Among the winners from PUMCH, Dr. Guo Yuzheng from the Department of Neurology won the title of "Respect of Life", the Department of Neurology won the "Gold Team Award", Dr. Han Ding (who is also the current Vice Present of PUMHC) won the "Humanistic Care Award", Dr. Zhang Jianguo from the Department of Orthopedics won the “Golden Lancet Award”, Dr. Yang Aiming won the "Elite Specialist Award", Dr. Li Hongjun from the Department of Urology won the "Impact of Popular Science Award", and Dr. Zhao Haitao from the Department of Hepatology won the "Youth Innovation Award". In addition, PUMCH was granted the “Most Excellent Organizing Institution Award".
