The Ministry of Education recently issued the Notice on the Announcement of the Second Batch of Huang Danian-style Teacher Teams among Chinese Universities. The teacher team of the Department of Internal Medicine led by PUMCH President Zhang Shuyang was selected as one of the “Huang Danian-style Teacher Teams among National Universities”. The teacher team of the Department of Radiology led by Professor Jin Zhengyu was selected into the first batch of “Huang Danian-style Teacher Teams among National Universities”.

“Huang Danian-style Teacher Teams in National Universities” aims to select teaching and research units and innovative teams in universities that have made outstanding achievements in teacher ethics, education and teaching, scientific research innovation, employment and entrepreneurial promotion, and social services, as well as important contributions to the reform, development and stability of education. So far, a total of 400 teacher teams have been awarded this title.

Since its founding, PUMCH has taken the lead in establishing a strict and standardized resident physician training system in line with international standards in China, and distilled practices into the medical training experience featuring “three basics and three stricts” (“three basics” refers to basic theory, basic knowledge, and basic skills, and “three stricts” strict requirements, strict organization, and strict attitude), which has been highly recognized in the whole profession. In recent years, PUMCH has launched projects such as “Hundred Talents Program” and “Clinical Medicine Postdoctoral Training” to cultivate high-caliber interdisciplinary medical elites. All PUMCH teachers will follow Huang Danian as an example, learn from the excellent experience of the Huang Danian-style teacher teams, continue to foster virtue through education, dedicate themselves to a relentless pursuit of surpassing others, uphold fine traditions, and forge ahead with reform and innovation, in a bid to contribute more to China’s medical development.
