前瞻性非随机对照研究：社会支持能够显著改善上皮性卵巢癌的死亡率和生存率[22]。这种社会支持既包括人际关系上的交往联系，也包括确实的帮助（如来自他人的信息、建议等）。

非粘液性卵巢癌BRCA遗传系的人群为基础的对照研究：研究人群达1001例，结果发现遗传系（胚系）变异总体发生率为14.1%，其中44%没有乳腺癌或卵巢癌的家族史。携带变异的患者无进展生存率和总体生存力显著改善，复发的变异携带者对于铂类和非铂类的化疗方案均更为敏感。没有遗传系变异的、对多重铂类化疗敏感的患者倾向于携带体细胞的BRCA变异[23]。

JAMA的前瞻性对照研究：感染HIV的女性和没有HIV感染的相比，HSIL+以及CIN-2+的5年累积率是相似的[24]。
