Introduction:

This is an account of how PUMC trained experts and how doctors treated patients, thus contributing to the well-being of the society. Here the PUMC culture, spirit and tradition are revealed through legendary stories of the college's birth, education and service to society, and of its people in 90 years (1917～2007). By looking back at PUMC, the book attempts to seek for broader-sense solutions to problems in the medical care system today.
