On May 27, 2025, Professor Andreas Maier, Director of the Pattern Recognition Lab at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), visited Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He delivered a lecture at the PUMCH International Forum on the topic of “Bridging Domain Expertise with AI for Next-Generation Medical Diagnostics: Known Operators, AI Protocol Design and Multimodal Foundations.” The engaging presentation sparked enthusiastic interaction among young physicians, researchers, and medical students.
