On May 5-6, 2023, the first “Open Day” of PUMCH unfolded with great success. The first batch of 33 guests from the West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the First Affiliated (Nansha) Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University, and the Qingjian People’s Hospital visited PUMCH for observations and exchanges. Under the painstaking planning of President Zhang Shuyang and Vice President Wu Peixin, PUMCH took the lead in opening its doors and inviting relevant stakeholders with open arms to build a platform for peer hospitals and partners to get to know PUMCH and communicate with each other at close range.

Upon learning about the PUMCH Open Day, nearly 200 people from 24 peer institutions signed up with great enthusiasm, including those from hospitals in the same league as PUMCH and those from county-level hospitals to pick the brains of PUMCH. Under the personal guidance of President Zhang Shuyang, the Hospital Management Professional Committee meticulously organized the first batch of guests who came from afar and developed a thorough and packed agenda for them.

The guests unanimously expressed their appreciation of the PUMCH Open Day as an event that enabled them to personally get to know PUMCH better and that provided a platform for hospitals to share experience. They hoped that PUMCH would continue to hold the event to further facilitate cooperation and exchanges between hospitals in various areas and steadfastly translate management improvement into quality services for people’s health, the ultimate goal for hospitals.
