Peking Union Medical College Hospital Welcomes New Staff in 2019

Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) held the 2019 new staff training sessions on September 2-5. The hospital has recruited 170 people this year, including 70 postdoctoral specialists and 100 doctors, nurses, medical technicians, and administrative officers.

The staff induction ceremony was held at the third floor of the teaching building on the morning of September 3. Prof. Zhang Shuyang, Party Secretary of the hospital, expressed warm welcome to the new staff. She hoped the newcomers can stick to their original dreams and make contributions to the hospital. In his speech, Prof. Zhao Yupei, director of PUHCH, said he hopes the new staff can assume their missions, hold on to the bottom line, and keep learning to make the hospital better. At the induction ceremony, the leaders wore the name tags for some representatives of the new staff. All new staff made a solemn swearing to demonstrate their sincerity and passion.

After the ceremony, the new staff received humanity training. Pro. Qiu Guixing, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), gave a speech about his career experience at PUMCH. Prof. Lang Jinghe, also a CAE member, talked about the hospital’s work culture from the perspectives of medical science, medical staff’s code of conduct, and mutual respect and understanding between medical staff and patients. Cao Weihua, executive deputy chief of the Division for Discipline Inspection, and Sun Yong from the Security Division also made speeches about warning education and security education. Indoor development training activities have promoted exchanges between the new staff and improved communication and cooperation. In order to increase training efficiency, the departments of human resources, medical affairs, education affairs, scientific research and medical care have arranged skills training sessions.
