On January 11, 2019, the “2018 China Medical Books” awarding ceremony was held in Beijing. Many books from PUMCH were on the list.

The book selection was jointly hosted by MD Weekly, Health News and China Hospital CEO, and was supported by Chinese Medical Humanities and Tencent Health. A review was held in September 2018 and the result was now released. Altogether 30 “excellent medical books” and 10 “special recommendations” won out from more than 300 candidate books.
