On the morning of October 15, 2018, a three-people delegation led by Ms. Barkey, chair of Provider Relations, Mayo Clinic, visited PUMCH and talked about cooperation issues. Present at the meeting were PUMCH President Zhao Yupei, Vice President Zhang Shuyang, Director Ma Jin from Human Resources and Party Secretary Song Yimin from Department of Healthcare.

The delegation watched a hospital introduction video and visited the hospital’s history museum, medical record exhibition, surgery building, outpatient building and international medical service. After that they had discussions on cooperation. Zhao pointed out that the two institutions share many ideas that laid a solid foundation for cooperation. Mr. Benson, vice chair of Provider Relations, Mayo Clinic briefed on the Mayo Clinic Care Network (MCCN), and the two sides discussed specifics of cooperation. The meeting turned out a success and both sides looked forward to joining efforts. This is the first official visit of Mayo leaders to our hospital, and is therefore of great strategic significance.
