On May 10, 2018, PUMCH celebrated the 107th International Nurses Day at the Lecture Hall. More than 600 nurses from the hospital gathered together for the event.
The celebration started from a short movie Invisible Wings made by the nursing team for the occasion, which recalls the contribution of Florence Nightingale as well as the devotion and angelic love of generations of nurses at PUMCH.
Young nurses presented flowers to the older generation to express their respect and best wishes.
In early March, the Nursing Department organized a micro film competition to tell stories and the warmth behind them.
In late April, the hospital held a competition of innovations and inventions. Our diligent and inquisitive nursing team, based on their clinical experience and patient needs, created many simple and practical nursing tools.
The hospital also invited noted reporters from Xinhua News Agency to give lectures and organized film watching as a recreation.
On the early morning of May 11, hospital leaders went to departments and offices--Operation, Emergency, International Medical Services, Gerontology and so on--to present to nurses cakes, flowers and greetings. The Labor Union and Department of Nursing also prepared for each nurse cake and card as part of the joyful celebrations.
