On April 4, 2016, the Tomb-Sweeping Day, doctors from the Department of Ophthalmology, PUMCH, held a praying ceremony for cornea donors in appreciation of their benevolence and the light they left behind. The activity was held in response to a call by the Cornea Diseases Group, Ophthalmology Branch, Chinese Medical Association.

The activity received great responses from across the world. Teams of renowned ophthalmologists and social workers at home and abroad joined by writing down their prayers and called for public attention to body donation.
