On December 18, 2015, PUMCH held a seminar to commemorate the 114th birthday of Doctor Lin Qiaozhi, who opened the practice of obstetrics and gynecology in China.
The seminar started with a short movie titled Extraordinary Care in Ordinary Things. It was divided into two parts: experts forum and thesis report by young doctors. Lecturers included Academician Lang Jinghe from PUMCH, Professor Kong Beihua from the Medical School of Shandong University, Professor Chen Chunlin from the Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, Professor Xu Congjian, President of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Fudan University, and Shen Keng, Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, PUMCH. Altogether 27 people, including residents, nurses and postgraduates, gave reports of their theses, topics covering clinical medicine, basic medicine, epidemiological survey in several sub-fields of obstetrics and gynecology. The seminar also gave the 4th award of “best reputation” for residents of obstetrics and gynecology at PUMCH.
