On May 7-9, 2015, a delegation led by Prof. Doris Young, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and former Head of the Department of General Practice, University of Melbourne, visited PUMC and attended the first “PUMC- University of Melbourne General Practice Seminar”, which was jointly organized by PUMC’s Department of General Practice, Education Office and Standardized Training Base for General Practitioners.

Under the theme “a research into the real world”, the seminar focused on the research of general practice and the training of doctors and post graduates. It consisted of four lectures, two discussions of cases, a discussion on teachers of general practitioners, a discussion on exchange students and a whole-day workshop on general practice research. The seminar not only provided knowledge and skill training, but served as an occasion of brain storming for participants of different roles.
