On the afternoon of October 24, 2013, Lincoln Chen, Chairman of the US-based China Medical Board, and Zhang Ye, Director of the Board's Beijing Office, visited PUMCH. They were warmly received by President Zhao Yupei and Vice-President Zhang Shuyang.

Chairman Lincoln Chen said he was glad to visit the hospital. He said that the Board and PUMCH belong to the same family as both of them are supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, and that the Board will continue to support PUMCH and work for more cooperation between the two. As 2014 marked the 100th founding anniversary of the Board, Lincoln Chen invited Zhao Yupei to attend the celebrations. The guests watched an introduction video of the hospital, attended its sixth exhibition of case history records and visited the new outpatient building in the northern area, and spoke highly of the development of the hospital.
