On the afternoon of June 6, 2014, the Foundation for Hospital Art held a painting party at PUMCH, participants including doctors, nurses, patients and American volunteers. The activity was under the guidance of staff of the Foundation.
This public-interest activity was organized by the hospital management division of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and supported by the department of nursing and the division of publicity. The Foundation has carried out painting activities in more than 4,000 hospitals of 195 countries, involving more than 50,000 people. The Foundation came to China in 2011. “Our aim is to bring love and consolation to patients in various countries. Very few activities of this kind were held in China before. We hope to change their world with art,” said executive director Scott Feight.
The paintings are hung in wards as a token of harmonious relationship between doctors and patients.
