黄天荫现任清华大学副教务长、医学院院长。曾在新加坡和澳大利亚担任重要职务，包括新加坡国立大学、新保集团杜克-新国大医学院医学中心、新加坡国家眼科中心和墨尔本大学。黄天荫在人工智能研究成果已被纳入新加坡国家糖尿病筛查项目，并在国际上得到广泛应用。目前发表论文超过1600篇，包括《新英格兰医学杂志》《柳叶刀》和《美国医学会杂志》等国际顶级期刊。

黄天荫荣获多个重要奖项，包括第16届“长城友谊奖”、黄斑病学会（Macula Society）的阿纳尔·帕茨（Arnall Patz）奖章、美国眼科与视觉研究学会（ARVO）弗里登瓦尔德奖（Friedenwald）奖、澳大利亚联邦卫生部长奖、新加坡总统科学奖和总统科学技术奖等。黄天荫是新加坡国家科学院院士、英国皇家学会院士、美国国家医学院外籍院士与澳大利亚健康与医学科学院外籍院士。

黄天荫教授作为医师科学家和国际知名视网膜专家，主要从事黄斑病变和视网膜疾病相关的临床工作，如糖尿病视网膜病变、老年性黄斑变性、视网膜血管性疾病及近视性黄斑变性。

Now Vice-Provost of Tsinghua University, China, and Senior Vice-Chancellor of Tsinghua Medicine, Prof Wong has held senior leadership roles in Singapore and Australia, including at the Duke-NUS Medical School, the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, the Singapore National Eye Centre and the University of Melbourne. His AI research has been adopted in Singapore’s national diabetes screening programmes and internationally. He has published extensively, with more than 1,600 papers, including in The New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet and JAMA.

Prof Wong has been recognized with multiple international awards, including 16th Beijing Great Wall Friendship Award , Arnall Patz Medal (Macula Society), the Jose Rizal Medal (Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology) and the Friedenwald Award (ARVO). He has received Singapore’s President’s Science and Technology Award. He is an elected Fellow of the Singapore National Academy of Sciences, UK scientific academy, Royal Society, and an elected international (foreign) member of the US National Academy of Medicine and the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences. .

Professor Wong Tien Yin, as a physician-scientist and internationally renowned retinal specialist, primarily engages in clinical work related to macular diseases and retinal disorders, such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, and myopic macular degeneration.
