On November 27-December 2 the 102nd Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) was held in Chicago. The theme was Beyond Imaging: Maximizing Radiology’s Role in Patient Care. Our Radiology Department had 18 theses abstracts selected for the meeting, hitting a historical record. Among them, abstracts by residents Wang Qin and Zhang Gumuyang received the Student Travel Award respectively.

RSNA Annual Meeting is the world’s largest and highest gathering of radiologists on academic and technological issues. It has been more than ten years that PUMCH scholars are present at the event. Altogether 16 scholars from our hospital, led by Radiology Department director Jin Zhengyu, took part in the 2016 event. Their theses took the form of 14 speeches, three digital bulletins and one education exhibition board. They covered such sub-fields as cardio-thoracic surgery, digestion, urology, bones, muscles and intervention and touched on new technologies as texture analysis and third-generation dual source dual energy CT, showing to the world the strength of our Radiology.
